How do you add a long list of times together (eg 05:04:13 = hours:minutes:seconds)?
RE: Formatting
Hi Lindsey
Thank you for your question.
Excel is happy to work with durations in the same way as dates. Enter your values in the 00:00:00 format for hours, minutes and seconds and you will find that the standard + - * / operators apply along with functions such as SUM().
I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Excel tip:Pivot table groupingIf you want to group items in a pivot table together, simply highlight the labels for the fields either with the shift key (if adjacent)or with the contral key if they are not next to each other. |
