Excel (VBS): Colour/Color Palette

Excel VBA Intro Intermediate course
Excel VBA Advanced course

Excel (VBS): Colour/Color Palette

I'm not sure if this is a bit left field, but we did touch on colour properties on both VBA courses.

I produce spreadsheet tools for dissemination. I use a color palette recommended for visual imparement. In the majority of cases this works fine. But I notice that a different colour scheme displays on a few machines. I assume that the palatte has reverted to Excel standard.

Is there a simple line of code to 'lock in' a modified color palette to a spreadsheet that will be used on multiple machines? Or should I define the whole palette (or, at least, the colours that need to be different from the standard palette) in VBA?

Cheers,

S!

RE: Excel (VBS): Colour/Color Palette

Hi Simon

Thanks for your post, a very interesting one too!

I have checked with one of my team on this who runs the Excel VBA courses and they feel that we would need some time allocated to research for any solutions as well as possibly having a look at your files.

This will take us outside the general parameters of this forum but if you would like to look at progressing this please let me know and we can discuss options.

Regards

Jacob

Excel tip:

New to Excel 2010 - Sparklines!

Excel 2010 includes a new feature called Sparklines which are tiny charts that fit into a single cell and plot data in cells from the worksheet. There are a host of formatting and styles that can be applied to them and they are really quite interesting.

>insert
>sparklines
>Choose any style you want

You will be asked for the range and it will automatically select the cell your in to insert the sparklines.
