How do I filter unwanted data from my list

RE: Filtering

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for your question.

If you need to extract data from a list for a particular purpose, you can use Autofilter.

Go to Data and then Filter and Autofilter and filter buttons will appear by each column heading. Using the filter buttons select the criteria required. Use the Custom option if you are looking for multiple results.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Status Bar Functions

When using the SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE and COUNT functions, the result of such calculations are displayed in the worksheet.

However, if a range of cells, containing numbers, is highlighted, and then a right-mouse click is performed at the bottom right side of the status bar, then the result of those functions will be displayed.
