MS Project - sharing info.
What is the best way to share the information on Project with other colleagues who do not have access to the programme and can they update dates and tasks on Excel for me to then export back to project?
RE: MS Project - sharing info.
Hi Paras
Thank you for your question.
One of the ways of sharing information with colleagues who do not have Project is to choose Edit > Copy picture and take a snapshot of your plan. You can then paste the image of the Gantt Chart into a document such as Word or Excel.
MS Project can import data in Excel - go to File > Open and set the files of type control to Excel Workbook. Project will take you through a wizard that lets you decide how to map the Excel data to the fields in your Project and also whether the information should be added to or merged with any existing data in your plan.
I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew
