Charts

On a line chart how do you get data not to show?
ie if you have data for last year which you want to show in total but only have this years to date how do you stop this years data showing a line down to the base of the chart at todays date?

RE: Charts

Hi John

Thank you for your question. If I understand you correctly you might want to remove the series of data for the current (incomplete) year.

Click on your chart. From the chart menu choose Source Data then click on series. You can add remove or edit your data series here. This controls what is included in the chart.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Excel tip:

Highlighting a data range

Attempting to use a mouse to highlight a large range of cells with data in Excel can make the mouse to have a life of it's own!

Use keyboard strokes instead.

Step 1. Place the cusor in the cell where the highlighting should begin.

Step 2. Select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+END

This will take the cursor to the furthermost bottom corner of the data range found in that worksheet. And highlight that range of cells at the same time
