What is the best way to copy graphs into powerpoint?

RE: Graphs

Hello Sarah

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

It depends on what you want to be able to do with the chart/chart data once it's been put into PowerPoint.

I would use copy and paste; when you paste you should see you are given Paste Options when you click on the small clipboard item that appears next to the chart.

If you need to be able to edit the chart data after you have pasted, then Paste as a Microsoft Excel object (which is the default usually). Otherwise choose to paste as a picture as this will reduce the overall size of the presentation (useful if it contains loads of charts and other graphics, and you need to email the presentation).

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda

Excel tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
