What does a formula start with?

RE: Formulae

Dear Cheryl

Thank you for attending Excel Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

The Formula starts with an = sign. This tells Excel that you are about to do a formula or a function.

Once you have typed = you can simply click on the cells that you want to perform calculation on instead of typing the cell references!!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

The Easiest Way to See a Sum or Average in Excel 2010

Did you know the quickest and most simple way of working out the average or sum of a set of numbers?

Highlight numbers in cells or type some numbers in cells and then look at the status bar at the bottom of the window. Here you will see a display of the average of the numbers, as well as a count of the cells and the sum of these cells.
