Excel 2007

How do I lock my excel spreadsheet so that it cannot be opened at all without a password?

RE: Excel 2007

Hello David
Thank you for your question

Open the excel spreadsheet and go to File, Save As. At the top right select Tools, Options and a box should appear to let you enter a password to open and a password to modify. Enter and save.

If this resolves your question, please mark it as resolved. If not, please reply with more information.

Kind regards
Cress

Hi David

In Excel 2007 you do the following to Password Protect a Workbook:

1. Click the Office Button

2. Select Save As and click Other Formats

3. In the Save As dialog box click Tools in the bottom left corner and select General Options

4. Enter a password to open ans a password to Modify the workbook. Click OK

5. Click Save

The workbook will be password protected

Hope this helps

Carlos
