What is Bodmas

RE: Bodmas

Hello Diane

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

BODMAS is an acronym to help you remember the order that Excel will perform calculations in, should you have a formula that contains more than one type of operations (e.g. an addition and division as part of the same formula).

So:
B stands for brackets - anything inside brackets is done first
O stands for order - anything raised to the power of something is done second
D stands for division
M stands for multiplication - division or multiplication would be done next, after brackets and order
A stands for addition
S stands for subtraction - addition or subtraction are done last after other operations.

Kind regards
Amanda

Adding Rows or Columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add a row to an Excel spreadsheet, these are the simple steps you should take:

With your mouse, right click on the row header below where you want the new row to be added. Then, click Insert.

Follow exactly the same steps if you want to add a column to an Excel worksheet, right click on the column header, choose Insert and the new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.
