Excel Advanced course
Excel Intermediate course

Excel 2007

Is it possible to have parts of the worksheet where the columns are wider than in another part (i.e. column A is wider at row 1 than it is in row 2)

RE: Excel 2007

Dear Nick

Thank you for attending Excel 2007 Intermediate course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

I believe your question relates to when the range has been formatted as a Table.

I have looked into it in detail and it seems that this facility is not there. I assume that the main reason is for the spreadsheet to have a consistent look.

However you can do this in Word Table.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

RE: Excel 2007

Thanks for this Raj! I really enjoyed the courses last week, I think you did a very good job as trainer, and I'll definitely use your company for training in the future. One other question I had -

I'm interested in doing Access 2007 training but there were no slots available with you guys so I've booked it with another company. I'd be interested in doing the Access 2007 VBA training with you, but there's no dates showing for that one yet. Once this course if off the ground could you let me know? I'm hopefully going to be booking the Excel 2007 VBA course shortly.

Cheers, Nick

Excel tip:

Printing spreadsheets without opening them first

Here's a fast way of printing a spreadsheet from Windows Explorer/My Computer.

Go to the location where the spreadsheet is saved on your computer, then right-click on the icon next to the document and select Print from the menu.

The spreadsheet will automatically open, print and close itself.
