Can different users be given different passwords to access the database or is this a VBA element?
RE: Access
Dear Paul
Thank you for attending Access 2007 Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.
In the Database Tools in the Administer group you have the options of creating different users and groups when you choose user and group permissions and giving them different permissions such as read only, etc... rights to the users.
But if you want to assign passwords to the users then choose User and Group accounts where you can set passwords for different user or group.
You can also use the wizard to help you create users and groups and then set passwords for them.
If you want certain users to have same rights or permissions then it is recommended that you put them in the same group and then assign the password and the permissions for the group which is much faster!!
I hope this has answered your query.
If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!
Kindest Regards
