I run a macro that has to run make-table queries and then chart them in a form for a set of date parameters which are drawn from a field in a form. BASICALLY.. it pops up with alot of do you want to overright previous table.. are u sure etc.. is there any way of writing in a code to say answer yes automatically? Cheers

Thank you for attending Access Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Normally the messages appear for safety reasons and ensuring that the user hasn't made the choice by mistake. It is mainly there for cancel the action if required.

I assume this is possible by entering VBA code but unfortunately I am not very experienced with VBA in Access so I'll pass on this post to one of my colleagues who may have more knowledge and experience with VBA.

Access tip:

Random sampling

Data is th key to a good database, therefore checking is essential.

A good way of checking data is by random sampling. You can do this in a query, by typing the follow:
1) In the Field box create a RandonID field eg. Randon Id: Rnd(fieldname])

2) sort the field
3)Right click and chage the properties for To value to be the number of randon records you want to see.

4) Change the set to Show row for Randon ID to be False, add all the other fields you want to see and the run the query.
