Properties of columns

I was wondering if it was possible to create a column that has a formular in it that uses other columns in the sum

RE: Properties of columns

Dear Jennifer

Thank you for attending Access 2007 Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Normally you cannot perform calculations in a table but in Access 2007 you have the Autosum button which provides you the sum for that column.

In our Intermediate course we cover Queries, Forms and Reports were you can create Calculated controls.

You also learn how to create action query such as Make Table query that can contain calculated field and allow you to make a new table which has the calculated field in the new table.

Please find below the link for the access Intermediate course outline and the schedule for the course:

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Access tip:

Convert A Form Into A Report

If there is a form that you want to to save as a report:

1. Open that form in Design View
2. Select File and Save As
3. In the Save As Dialog box Select Report

The system creates a report based on the form.
