Hiding items

How Do I Hide things so other people cannot unhide them?

RE: Hiding items

Dear Lee

Thank you for attending Excel Intermediate course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Once the worksheet is protected the rows and columns by default are protected which means they cannot be deleted, inserted or the user cannot hide or unhide them.

But even when the worksheet is protected user can hide, unhide, delete, rename, etc... worksheets.

In order for protecting your worksheets from the above mentioned changes you need to choose Protect Workbook in the Review Tab. The password is optional but is recommended.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Colouring cells containing formulas

Cells in a worksheet can contain values or they can contain formulas. You may wish to identify all the cells in your worksheet that contain formulas by colouring those cells.

Follow these steps:
1. Choose Edit > Go To menu, or press either F5 or Ctrl+G. Excel displays the Go To dialog box.
2. Click Special. Excel displays the Go To Special dialog box.
3. Select the Formulas radio button option.
4. Select OK.

At this point, every formula cell in the worksheet is selected, and those cells can be coloured formatted as desired.
