Scroll ON
Hi,
We have recently upgraded our office package at work,
meaning I have been moved from Access 2003 to 2007.
Access 2003, when in a form the mouse scroll moves you from record to record.
However, in 2007, the mouse scroll now works as it would in a web browser allowing you to view up and down the current record.
How can I set the mouse scroll in 2007 to work in the same format as 2003?
I am desperate to know this information as I am losing a lot of time without this tool.
Thank you in advance
RE: Scroll ON
Hi Adam
Thanks for your query, I have done some checking on this this and you are quite right, in Form view in Access on earlier versions you could move across records using the mouse scroll wheel.
This is no longer available in 2007, you can however still use the scroll wheel to move across records in the Datasheet and Continuous view.
The rational behind this change is apparently having the scroll ability in Form view meant that records could be left incomplete.
I believe there is some code that can be introduced into the form view to revert the scroll function in Form view.
You can probably source some code off the web but I would warn against implementing it directly into your live database as this could comprimise the database operation.
We may be able to compile this for you but this would involve working on your database, updating, testing etc. This is more consultancy and as I assume we would be working on commercially important database we would need to approach this with due diligence.
If you would like to know more about this avenue and related costs please let me know.
Kind regards
Jacob

Access tip:Hiding rows and columnsTo hide a column or row in Access, you need to minimise the column or row. This can be done by placing your mouse on the right edge of a column, wait for the mouse to change to a double aroow and then drag to minimise the column |
