How do find duplicate data in excel spreadsheet
RE: Duplicate items
Hello Dalila
Thank you for your question.
There are a couple of ways of identifying or removing duplicate data from a spreadsheet in Excel 2007.
1. To remove duplicate rows of data from a database/list in Excel, use Remove Duplicates.
Then go to the Data ribbon, and click Remove Duplicates. Unselect all the column listed, then tick only the box next to the heading for the first/leftmost column in your table, and click OK. Excel should then tell you how many duplicates have been removed.
2. Use the Find feature to be able to find particular data in your spreadsheet. Go to Home ribbon, then click Find & Select, then click Find, then enter in what you'd like Excel to find for you. Then use Find All or Find Next to be able to get Excel to find what you are looking for. If you wanted to remove what it found then you would need to manually delete it.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
