Access: User Interaction

Can you force a user to enter data in a column in a table BEFORE they can save it?

RE: Access: User Interaction

Dear Darren

Thank you for attending Access Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

The best and easy way of enforcing the users to enter data would be by setting the property of that field in design view to Required Yes. This will ensure that that user enter some value before they can proceed to the next field.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Access tip:

Action queries

Unlike select queries you cannot use action queries as a data source for the use with forms or reports,as they do not return a dataset that can be read.
