Excel Advanced - Applying Names
Hi,
I am reading the reference manual and page 5 talks about applying names.
I do not understand this section, how it is useful or what I am supposed to do.
Can someone please help me?
Thank you
Stefania
RE: Excel Advanced - Applying Names
Hi Stefania,
Thank you for your question;
In answer: We use names to give unique properties to our cells or ranges of cells. When you name a cell or range that name becomes unique throughout the workbook and can be used in a formula or function. (Or to put it another way) If you consider an absolute cell reference which is fixed in a worksheet formula, a named cell would be fixed through the workbook....I hope that helps..
