Adding text to graphs

Once a chart has been completed, how do you add titles and text?

RE: Adding text to graphs

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your question:
In answer:
To add a title which is embedded in the chart.
Select the chart Area (white surround) and from the Toolbar choose Chart>Chart Options. From the Chart Options dialog box make your entries as required (using the different tabs).
To enter Text boxes to your chart: On the drawing toolbar, select the Text box tool and click in your chart where you wish the text box to appear (it is movable) and type and format the information you wish to append. I hope that has helped... Pete

Excel tip:

Generate randon numbers

Some types of analysis require you to use randomly generated numbers. You can also use randomly generated numbers to quickly populate an Excel spreadsheet. There's an easy function you can use to do this automatically. Here are a few of the ways you can use it:

Type =RAND() in a cell to generate a number between 0 and 1.
Type =RAND()*100 to generate a number between 1 and 100.
