How to link with Excel files.

RE: Access

Hi Tsuruko,

Thank you for your question.

If you want to send data from Access to Excel, select the table or query by clicking once on it and go to Tools, Office Links and Analyse data with Excel.

If you want to import data from Excel into an Access table, you need to go to File - Get External Data - Import... Select the Excel file you want and then follow the steps of the wizard.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
