Ongoing calculation between two dates
I have a colum of 11 items - each being created at various dates over the last three years. I need a formula that calculate the time (expressed in year or months) between the date of creation and today (meaning any time i open the document the time will be up-to-date). Can anyone help pls?
RE: ongoing calculation between two dates
Hi Adele
Thank you for your question.
I have attached a file which I think shows how you would solve this, using a couple of different functions:
1. The TODAY function is entered in the yellow cell - this always displays the current date.
2. A formula using the YEAR and MONTH functions in the orange cells which figures out how many months between the date in column A and the current date.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
