Limitting available resources
Is there a way to set a maxium number of hours/days available for use, as well as just setting the number of units available?
RE: limitting available resources
Hi Gareth
Thanks for your question.
You might find it helpful to modify the calendar for the individual resource to show available working time. In the resource sheet (view > resource sheet) double click on the resource in question and on the Working Time tab modify their calendar to show when work will take place for them. Now when you assign this resource to a task Project will shift the task to align with their available working time.
I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Compare Work and DurationDuration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field. |
