What is Auto filtering?
RE: Excel filters
Hello Donna
Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.
Auto filtering is the feature which shows dropdown arrows at the top of columns of data (if you have seen this on spreadsheets before).
This allows you to get Excel to display only rows which contain the criteria you are looking for.
For example if you have a column headed Region, and there are 4 regions (let's say North, South, East and West) you can use the Auto Filter to show you just rows of data that relate to the North region.
Filters can be removed once they have been applied, so that you can show the data for all 4 regions again once the data has been filtered.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
