RE: Microsoft Project
Hi Martin
Since all tasks must have a constraint our only option would be to choose a flexible constraint.
Double click on the name of your task and go to the advanced tab.
In the constraint type drop down choose As Soon As Possible
You should find if your tasks are locked to dates they move as early as they can in your project.
Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew
RE: Microsoft Project
HI Andrew,
As a rule, is the constraint As soon as possible' is the best one to maintain??

RE: Microsoft Project
Hi Rajkumar
It's hard to say that one constraint type might be better than another. You will probably encounter As Soon As Possible the most because its set as the default for tasks in MS Project.
ASAP works well for projects scheduled from the project start date (Project > Project information). The effect is to keep your plan as compact as possible. All of which means your finished plan is showing you the earliest date your project will finish.
So Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Andrew
