Project development
what is the best way to approach a new project? is it best to start from paper and pen in order to create the different layers and activities? or best to plot everything right away into MS Project?
RE: project development
Hi Luca
Thanks for your question. It's hard to say that one way might be better than the other as they both work. In practice I suspect people tend to us a mixture of both methods. Your organisation might recomend one approach over the other so checking to see how projects are currently created would be a good place to start. Also Microsoft have some guidance about building plans. You can find it online at

Hope this is helpful - do let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:Inserting Task Durations QuicklyWhen entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day. |
