Is there an option on Excel to activate that it underlines any wrong spelling?

RE: Spelling

Hi Esmeralda,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum, in answer to your question ....No... although you can use AutoCorrect to automatically change any common spelling mistakes or strange words that you may use. But in its defence there is some assistance; Excel uses three coloured triangle indicators;

Green triangle
A green triangle in the upper-left corner of a cell indicates an error in the formula in the cell. If you select the cell, the Trace Error button appears. Click the arrow next to the button for a list of options.

Red triangle
A red triangle in the upper-right corner of a cell indicates that a comment is in the cell. If you rest the mouse pointer over the triangle, you can view the text of the comment.

Purple triangle
A purple triangle in the lower-right corner of a cell indicates that a smart tag is in the cell. If you rest the mouse pointer over the triangle, the Smart Tag Actions button appears. Click the arrow next to the button for a list of smart tag options.

I hope that helps, best regards Pete
.

Excel tip:

Quickly create a list of numbers

The fill handle in Excel has many uses. If a number is typed into a cell and then the fill handle is used, the number will be copied from one cell to the next.

If you wish to create a list of numbers that increment by one at a time, hold down Ctrl in conjunction with using the fill handle - this should give you a series of numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3 etc) rather than copying a single number.
