Copy in a filtered speadsheet

how to copy info in a spreadsheet that has hidden rows with the info copying only on the visible rows

RE: copy in a filtered speadsheet

Hi Sophie,

Thank you for your question.

I have been looking at ways of trying to copy and paste data onto the visible results of a filtered list and I am sorry to say I have drawn a blank. I will pass this one around some colleagues to see if they have any suggestions.

Regards

Simon

Thank you very much, that would be great.

RE: copy in a filtered speadsheet

Hello Sophie

If you use the advanced filter feature (Data - Filter - Advanced filter) you then have the option of copying the results of the filter to a different location (away from the whole list of data you have), this way you get a copy of the filter results without it affecting your list.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Excel tip:

Highlighting a data range

Attempting to use a mouse to highlight a large range of cells with data in Excel can make the mouse to have a life of it's own!

Use keyboard strokes instead.

Step 1. Place the cusor in the cell where the highlighting should begin.

Step 2. Select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+END

This will take the cursor to the furthermost bottom corner of the data range found in that worksheet. And highlight that range of cells at the same time
