Looking up a value

In one column of a worksheet I am entering a currency value.

I want to be able to look down the column and for excel to find me the last entry in the column and paste link it to another sheet.

I have been told elsewhere that this is not possible, but I am sure it must be.

Even if it is not possible in 2000, we are updating to 2007 soon - is it possible in 2007?

RE: Looking up a value

Hello Jackie

Thank you for your post.

I think that this is something that would need to be automated by writing VBA code, there is not a specific feature that would do this for you in Excel (even in the 2007 version).

Excel tip:

Adding Rows or Columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add a row to an Excel spreadsheet, these are the simple steps you should take:

With your mouse, right click on the row header below where you want the new row to be added. Then, click Insert.

Follow exactly the same steps if you want to add a column to an Excel worksheet, right click on the column header, choose Insert and the new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.
