Thank you for your question.

To create a template in Excel 2007:

1. Click on the Office button.
2. Select the Save As option.
3. Select Other formats.
4. Choose the Save As option to open the Save As dialog box.
5. Click on the Save as type drop down arrow.
6. Scroll through the options to find the template file formats.

There are three template file formats in Excel 2007:

Excel Template (*.xltx)
Excel Macro Enabled Template (*.xltm)
Excel 97 - 2003 Template (*.xlt)

To be able to use your template with older versions of Excel, choose the Excel 97 - 2003 Template (*.xlt) option

Once saved, your template is stored in the templates folder on your computer.
