What is a macro

RE: Excel 2007

Hi Donna

How are you today, hope you enjoyed your course on tuesday

The answer to your Q. is as follows

A macro is a way to record a series of steps or tasks
and then playing them back, just like using a camcorder
but the difference with a camcorder is the playback
if you record things for 20 mins the camcorder takes 20 mins to playback

A mcro will do the same process in Excel but when played back the macro will playback the tasks instantly

Hope this answers this for you
