How do you link a chart into a Powerpoint presentation and auto-update the chart if you change it in Excel?
RE: Excel
Morning Paul,
Once you have created your new presentation go into your spreadsheet and copy the chart, then go back into Powerpoint and go to Edit / Paste Special / click paste link which is on the right of the box. Once done any changes made in excel will automatically change in powerpoint but only if both files are open. If the presentation is not open then the next time you open it you will be asked if you want to update it. If you need to make changes to the link or it does not automatically update, then go to Edit / links.
Tip: If you double click you linked chart it will open it up even if excel is not open.
Hope this helps
Martin
