Project Summary Task
When pasting tasks from an old to a new project, if the Project Summary Task is also copied, upon pasting it becomes a regular task.
Can this be promoted back to a Project Summary Task?

The project summary task is created for you by Project. As such you won't be able to promote a task to become the summary task. I think your best approach would just be to rename the newly created project summary task and delete the one which became a regular task. Sorry I couldn't help you further. MS Project tip:Link tasks using predecessor column - projecta. First, note ID number of the task you want to link to (predecessor). Then, in the predecessor column of the task you want to link to (successor), type the predecessor task's ID number. |
