What is a pivet table
What do you use a pivet table for?
RE: What is a pivet table
Hi Stephen
Thank you for your question
A pivot table simply cross references data contained in a list. By "list" I mean a table that has column headings describing properties of a particular object, and individual rows providing data about individual instances of that object.
For example supposing you had a list that contained information about individual sales, listing who the customer was, the sales value and who the sales person was.
You could use a pivot table to produce an analysis that listed the sales people as rwo headings, customers as column headings and the total sales of each salesperson to each customer as the actual data.
Hope this is useful
regards
Stephen
