Is there a simpler function I can use to calculate the number of months between two dates? I am currently using the following:
=(YEAR($K$1)-YEAR(G33))*12+(MONTH($K$1)-MONTH(G33))
Where:
$K$1 = today's date which I have situated in a cell outside the table
G33 = a start date of an employee
Thanks
RE: Excel - Calculating Months!!!
Dear Selina
Thank you for attending the Excel Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.
There ifs definitely an easier way to calculate no. of months!!
I have attached a spreadsheet for your reference. Please note that I have saved the spreadsheet in the Formulae view (this means that you can see the Formulae instead of results in the cells). You can do this by using the Shortcut command CTRL +` (this is the key below your Esc key on the keyboard)
