What type of situation can I use this in?

hope you are ok, and v.sorry i haven't got back to you sooner

the reason for using 3D formulas is if you want to calculate an answer on a sheet where some or all of the figures you need are on other sheets or even in other files

Its good, I've been on at my boss to upgrade to 2007... hasnt happened yet but Ill get there.

Excel tip:

Outlining - Grouping rows or columns

Highlight want you want to group and press ALT + SHIFT + left cursor arrow
