Is is possible to set up a report template?

RE: Reports

Hi Marianne,

yes you can create report templates, the way to do this is as follows,

Create your report template using the normal methods, such as using the Report Wizard initially and then modifying the design into your template format, or starting in design mode. You can copy a form you have already formatted as it is or do some more changes to create your template style.

When you have formatted your template report, so long as you are in design mode you simply select Format from the menu bar (top of screen), select Autoformat, then Customize, then select 'Create new Autoformat based on (name of your report)'. You will be prompted to give a name to your template. When you then go to Reports and select 'Create report using wizard' you template will be one of the options. Note that precisely the same procedure applies to creating your own Forms templates too.

I hope this helps.
Mark
