Gantt chart
How do i mark off progress on the gannt chart?
RE: gantt chart
Hi Verity
There are several ways you can record progress. First you might want to double click on the the task name itself and from the dialog box that comes, on the general tab, enter the % of the task that has been completed. You can also do this with the mouse on the Gantt chart. Hover your mouse over the beginning of the bar that represents the task you want to mark off. You will see the mouse pointer change into a % symbol. Now left click and hold down. As you do this gently drag your mouse pointer to along the bar. You will find Project draws a line along the bar to mark off progress.
Alternatively you can also mark progress off by selecting the task and from the tools menu choose tracking > update task
On the dialog box that appears you can set actual duration complete and any duration that remains and Project will update the plan for you.
I hope this is helpful - do let us know if have any other questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew
