I am building a table but I'm not sure why the following is happening

The fields are

First Name
Sur Name
Day
Date
Project Name
Project Code
Hours

all but hours are look up tables

I put in say 100 enters

There are 9 entres which have Thursday 13th and 9 entres which have Friday 14th

I save, come out and go back into the table to find these entres have moved from their position and now sit in a group of entres for someone else or they are at the bottom of the table?

What can I do to prevent this?

Thanks

RE: Access

Hello Arabella,

I would like to just confim a couple of things before I look into this. Are you entering the data directly in to the table or via a form, and if by form does the form have the table as source directly or is it via a query on the table?

Regards,
Mark

Access tip:

Run with the total

Often when creating reports with lists of transactions it can be useful to have a column which totals the transactions as the report progresses.

Using the Sum function gives the total for the whole group, not a running total.

Access provides an easy method of achieving a running total.

Click on the text box containing the data you wish to contain the running total.
Select the Data tab
Click in the Running sum option
Click the down arrow to view three options
