How do you create a customised number that shows a number as a percentage and if negative appears in red.

Hi Karen,
Thank you for your question.
For formatting a number to show both percentages as well as red negatives, you need to choose CUSTOM under format.
1. On your number, choose FORMAT CELLS > NUMBER tab > CUSTOM option (last item on the list)
2. In the box on the right hand side, type in (or just copy & paste) the following syntax: 0.00%;[Red]-0.00%
3. press OK
