What are the best ways of formatting tables to be most asthetically pleasing?

there are lots of ways to format a table. You can make the headings bold and give the headings row a background colour. You can also add borders to the table. Go to view>>toolbars>>Forms and this will give you another toolbar. If you click on the "toggle grid" button (the one with the 25 dots in it) then the grid on the sheet will be removed. You can add a column to the left and a row to the top. With the border on, this can look really good.
