Hi Katy, I guess this is you again, in answer to the question: the IF function is used to determine the state of a condition, ie: if it is TRUE or FALSE, dependant on the answer then further actions can be undertaken; so if we condsider the formula =IF(A1>=100,A1*2,0) which translated would be; Is A1 greater than or equal to 100, if it is (TRUE) then multiply the value of A1 bt 2, if it is not, (FALSE) then do nothing (0).
Taking this further, you can nest up to 7 IF statements, and also use other formula in the IF statement, substituted for either of the statements (TRUE or FALSE).
