Next and back buttons/cells

I would like to produce buttons/cells on my worksheet which links the different sheet.

For example I would like a button/cell at the bottom of my sheet which has an arrow in it or the word next, so when clicked on it moves to the next question on the next sheet, then there to be a back button to return.

Any help would be much appreciated

RE: next and back buttons/cells

Hi Reyno

You could do this by setting up hyperlinks.

If you type the word Next into a cell, press Enter, then select the cell with the word Next, then go to Insert - Hyperlink (or use Ctrl + K).

You would want to set up a hyperlink to a Place in this Document (which you can select from the left in the Insert Hyperlink dialogue box).

Where it has Type the cell reference towards the top of the dialogue box, you can enter a reference to the cell you wish to link to. If it is on the same sheet, then enter in the cell reference. If the cell you wish to link to is on a different sheet, then enter in the sheet name followed by an ! then the cell reference. Then click OK. Test by clicking the hyperlink.

Then you will need to set up another hyperlink that will link back from the cell that the text Next links to.

I hope this helps. Please reply if you have any problems.
Amanda
