Macro Recording

If I wished to get a Macro to perform a repeated action, such as within a workbook I wish it to Update the data in all the Pivot Tables in sequence, how do I script it to not end until all tables have been modified, and also how does one get it to realise where all the Pivot tables are in the workbook. Also is this the same process for Office programs such as Powerpoint and Access, or are they scripted in a different maner?

Excel tip:

Autonumber in Excel

To create an autonumber field, can use the Offset() function.

In cell A1, enter the number 1.
Then in cell A2, enter this formula:

=OFFSET(A2,-1,0)+1

Then copy the formula from cell A2, down as far as you need.
