What is the best way to handle smaller project using MS project where there are around 80-120 project a year?

RE: MS Project

Hello Marcus

If you have a lot of (relatively) small projects to handle, such as the 80-120 you are quoting, then my answer will depend upon whether the small projects are related in any way.

If you have projects that are quite small but actually make up one much larger project, then you could take advantage of MS Project's subprojects feature. I believe this would have been covered during your course in the section about handling multiple projects. Using master/subproject techniques makes handling 'related' projects easier, especially if the projects share a finite pool of resources.

However, if each of the 80-120 projects are completely separate and independent then I would suggest you plan carefully how you will name your projects!

I hope this answer has helped you. Please come back to us if you would like further details.

Regards

Thia
