Reports
How do you repeat a data element chosen to sort by on a report. For example, sort the report by Country, the UK has more than page in the results but the UK is repeated.
RE: Reports
Hello NAME,
Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Access course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding Access Reporting
In Access reporting, data elements repeat in different ways depending on where you place then in the design view of the report. It would be useful to know where your COUNTRY field is currently located, and then we can see where to put it, so that it repeats.
If the field in the DETAIL area, then it will repeat for all records in the report. If the field is located in a COUNTRY HEADER area, then it will still sort by that field, but the data will only repeat once for every country.
If you would let me know a bit more about what your report design is like, then I can advise you more specifically.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Richard
