Taking payments online

There are quite a variety of companies that can help you with this.

Traditionally you would get a PSP (payment service provider) such as http://www.secpay.com

You might also like to consider Google Checkout and http://www.paypal.com too, which are easier options, but involve your web site visitors going to these 3rd party web sites to process their payment (not always a bad thing, as the names are quite trusted).
