How do you export from excel to access table

RE: export

Hi Faith, Thank you for the post, In answer to your question to import a table from Excel; Choose the menu command File>Get External Data>Import, From the dialog box, change the Files of Type to Excel and navigate to find the workbook of your choice, follow the steps in the wizard to choose the sheet to import. Ensure that the sheet follows the rules of database creation ie field name column headers, no gaps between header and data etc. I hope that helps, best regards Pete.

Access tip:

Hide Access Tables

One method of stopping your Access tables appearing in Database window, is to rename the table(s) with the prefix usys.

This converts the table into a system object, which cannot be viewed in the Database window.

You can show system objects in the Database window by the following:

Step 1: On the Tools menu, click Options.
Step 2: Click the View tab.
Under Show, select the System Objects check box.
Click OK.
