How do I use freeze and unfreeze of window panes?

RE: Excel intro

Hi

If you go to Window and Freeze Panes then it will freeze the first row and a few columns. If you scroll down or across these will always be set. If you have a list of 5000 rows and you are on row 3904 then you might want to see what the values relate to and you can because the headings are still visible. If you want just the headings to freeze then click on the little rectangle just above the right hand scroll bar and drag it onto the sheet just below the column headings. This will freeze them

thanks
Rich

Excel tip:

Saving your Excel Spreadsheet as a CSV File

In situations where you need to save your Excel spreadsheet as a CSV file, follow these simple steps.

Click the File tab and click Save As.
Enter a name in the File name field.
Click the drop-down arrow next to the Save as type field to select the file type. Scroll down the list and select CSV (comma delimited) (*.CSV)
Click Save

The data will now be saved to a separate CSV file which can be used in different applications.
