Formulas

How would I write a formula that copies information from a cell on one workbook to a cell on another workbook? For example, numerical data, not a sum.

RE: Formulas with value

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your question.

In order to link just a number but not the formula from another file, you must have the two files open first.

1) On file one, set up your formula by type in =
2) Use the mouse to click on the cell you need on File 2
3) Press Enter

You should see the number showing on File 1 but not linking the formula.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another X question?

Have a great day.

Excel tip:

Deleting a range of cells using the autofill handle

Firstly, select the range of cells for which you would like to clear the contents. Then drag the autofill handle to the the top left corner of the selection whilst holding down the shift key. Your selected contents should then be deleted.
