What is the shortcut key for creating pivot tables?
RE: Excel 2007 shortcuts
Dear Alex
Thank you for attending Excel 2007 Intermediate course.
Normally when you select the data to create a chart you can press F11 and that should create a default chart based on the selected data on a new worksheet. Or ALT+F1 will create a chart on the same sheet.
The reason the Short cut works for chart is because the data is already selected and Excel knows which data to place on which axis and what data it will select for the series.
However as you may appreciate that Pivot table is an interactive table which is used for summarizing data. It is also important to understand that the fields get dragged to the rows, columns and page areas. It depends on the user which fields they want as rows or columns etc

Excel tip:Page Break Preview in Excel 2010 (Hint/tip)If you select View then Workbook Views then Page Break Preview, you will be able to view how your Excel spreadsheet will be split across multiple pages when printed. Even better, you can also drag a page break to a new place. Excel will then scale down your entire worksheet to fit the information you want on the pages you want. |
